"Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) was founded in 1943 by Sir Tej Bahadur Sapru and Dr. H. N. Founded by a group of eminent intellectuals led by Kunzru. Its main objective was to develop an Indian perspective on international relations and to act as a repository of knowledge and thought on foreign policy. The Council today conducts policy research through an internal faculty as well as external experts.
It regularly organizes various intellectual activities including conferences, seminars, round table discussions, lectures and brings out various publications. It has a well-stocked library, an active website and publishes India Quarterly. ICWA has more than 50 MOUs with international think tanks and research institutions to develop more judicious thinking and areas of mutual cooperation on international issues. The Council also has partnerships with India's leading research institutes, think tanks and universities."
