Dr. D. Bhalla, IAS, presently the Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat, is a Doctorate in Tourism besides a Master’s Degree holder in Public Administration (MPA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Management. He has researched on sustainable tourism development strategies. He has been a visiting faculty to School of Planning and Architecture, Institute of Good Security and several other universities.
Dr. D. Bhalla has held key positions in the Government of Nagaland as well as Government of India. He has participated in many national and international seminars, conferences and workshops.
Dr. D. Bhalla has been commended for his extra-ordinary work in improving public distribution system and his seminal work on sports and tourism in Nagaland. He has written many books but the most popular scholarly work is ‘Sustainable Tourism Development’. Which has been widely acclaimed. Recently he has been felicitated for his two decades of selfless service in North-East.
