Chairman and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. (MOFSL). He is a Chartered Accountant and started the business along with co-promoter, Mr. Raamdeo Agrawal in 1987.
Mr. Oswal has received the Rashtriya Samman Patra awarded by the Government of India for being amongst the highest income tax payers in the country for a period of 5 years from FY95–FY99.
Mr. Oswal has served on the governing board of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) as well as IMC and also has served on many commitees of BSE, NSE, SEBI and CDSL. He is also a board member and a Director of Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO).
The Indian Council of Management Executives (ICME) has awarded the Knight of the Millennium to Mr. Oswal for the Capital Market.
Recently, Mr. Oswal was conferred the “Udyog Rattan Award” for his outstanding performance in the industrial development of the country by the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi. He has also been inducted into The Hall of Fame for excellence in Franchising by the Franchising World Magazine.
मोतीलाल ओसवाल एक सफल चार्टर्ड एकाउंटेंट हैं, जो बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज के गवर्निंग बोर्ड में निदेशक रह चुके हैं। नेशनल स्टॉक एक्सचेंज की एफ ऐंड ओ कमेटी तथा इंडियन मर्चेंट्स चैंबर की प्रबंध समिति के सदस्य रहे श्री ओसवाल ‘जैन इंटरनेशनल ट्रेड ऑर्गेनाइजेशन बोर्ड’ के सदस्य तथा निदेशक भी रह चुके हैं। वित्तीय वर्षों 1995-1999 तक देश में सर्वाधिक आयकर का भुगतान करनेवालों में भारत सरकार द्वारा राष्ट्रीय सम्मान-पत्र से सम्मानित हुए। उत्कृष्ट कार्यों हेतु इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ मैनेजमेंट एक्जीक्यूटिव्स (ICME) द्वारा ‘नाइट ऑफ द मिलेनियम’, इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ चार्टर्ड एकाउंटेंट्स ऑफ इंडिया के प्रतिष्ठित ‘एक्सीलेंट बिजनेस एचीवर’ इन फाइनेंशियल सर्विसेज सम्मान’, इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इकोनॉमिक स्टडीज, नई दिल्ली द्वारा ‘उद्योग रत्न अवार्ड’ तथा फ्रेंचाइजिंग वर्ल्ड मैगेजीन के ‘द हॉल ऑफ फेम फॉर एक्सीलेंस इन फ्रेंचाइजिंग’ सम्मान से सम्मानित।
