Widely recognised as the "Green-Man of India," Rohit's illustrious career is marked by his relentless pursuit of sustainable practices and innovative reforestation initiatives. He is also known as the Vertical-Garden man of India who has successfully created close to 750 green-walls with waste plastic bottles.
In addition to his literary contributions, Rohit is a sought-after speaker on self-development and environmental issues. His insights have earned him a place on the TED stage, where he has shared his vision for a sustainable future. The National Geographic Channel has also recognised his impactful work, dedicating an episode to showcase his pioneering efforts in the realm of environmental conservation.
रोहित मेहरा 2004 बैच के एक आई.आर.एस. अधिकारी हैं। उन्हें नई-नई चीजें करना पसंद है। वह लेखक, ब्लॉगर और मोटिवेशनल स्पीकर भी हैं। उन्हें पर्यावरण से गहरा लगाव है। उन्होंने भारत में वर्टिकल गार्डंस की शुरुआत की है। उन्हें ‘ग्रीनमैन’ के नाम से जाना जाता है और वृक्षायुर्वेद के सिद्धांतों का उपयोग करते हुए उन्होंने 40 से ज्यादा माइक्रो-जंगल बनाए हैं। उन्होंने चार साल में लगभग 7.50 लाख पेड़-पौधे लगाए हैं और 550 से ज्यादा वर्टिकल गार्डन खडे़ किए हैं। उन्होंने भारत में सीड-बॉल्स की मुहिम का नेतृत्व किया और पिछले तीन साल में लगभग 20 लाख सीड-बॉल्स बनाकर उनका वितरण भी किया, जो अपने आप में एक रिकॉर्ड है। उन्होंने सुंदरी और इलेक्शन-आई नाम से दो मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन बनाए हैं। ‘तीर्थ-यात्रा’ नाम का मोबाइल एप उनकी ही प्रेरणा से बना है। उन्हें घूमने का बहुत शौक है और वे पूरे भारत का भ्रमण कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने ‘101 सैक्रेड प्लेसेज ऑफ इंडिया’ पुस्तक भी लिखी है। व्यक्तित्व विकास पर वह ‘डिजाइन योर डेस्टिनी’ के नाम से एक सफल ब्लॉग चला रहे हैं। उन्होंने विभिन्न विषयों पर लेख भी लिखे हैं, जो राष्ट्रीय समाचार-पत्रों में प्रकाशित होते रहते हैं।
