Shivani A. Singh, born in the 70s, grew up in Bhopal, and is currently settled in Rajasthan with her husband and child. A voracious reader since her childhood, she found her writing inspiration in authors like Georgette Hayer, Jane Austen, Sara Craven, Nora Roberts and Judith McNaught. An anthropology post-graduate from Rajasthan University, she also has a diploma in Interior Design - an education steeped in social science which gives her writing its voice. "A good book is like a happy place where one can escape to when life gets a bit rough" - this is the credo with which she picks up her pen, for isn't writing simply constructing this happy place yourself? It is perhaps this understanding of a what a reader wants that makes her imagination carve such relatable tales.
