Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh, IAS Officer from Gujarat cadre of batch-2008 was born in Desari village of Vaishali district in Bihar. Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh obtained his Bachelor's degree from Patna College (Patna University). Besides this Dr. Singh also holds a degree of LLB from Patna Law College (Patna University) and after post-graduation, he obtained his degree of Ph.D from Patna University.
He worked at various high positions in the state and also worked as the Director in the Panchayati Raj Department. Prior to this, he was the District Collector-Cum-District Magistrate, Sitamarhi and also worked as Director of the Primary Education Department.
He has provided free training to more than 1850 candidates preparing for civil services examinations through an organization named 'Mission 50' in Patna.
