Ashok Modak
Dr. Ashok Modak’s latest honours are his appointment as Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, by the President of India in 2018 and nomination as National Research Professor by Government of India in 2016. Dr. Modak is a member of Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
Nourished in the fold of RSS, Dr. Modak has been Professor at the University of Mumbai and pursued research activities in Russia, Great Britain and Netherlands.
Worked as President of ABVP, Dr. Modak was a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council for two terms and a recipient of the Best Legislator Award 1997.
Dr. Modak, author of 30 books and 67 articles, has written books on Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He was honoured as President of Savarkar Sahitya Sammelan in 1996.
