This book is an outcome of sheer hard work of successful candidates. Previously, I had given thought to publish the success stories last year too but it could not materialize. Subsequently, when I came in contact with successful candidates, I realized that some had so unique journeys that I could not resist myself to give shape to the idea which was in mind since long. Again, the question arose to whom should I approach since I had known only limited number of successful candidates.
In this book you will find a unique success pattern of each successful officer. Some of them come from backward areas, some have average educational qualification, so that you may realize that successful candidates not born with a silver spoon. Some of them were already in job, it is interesting to see how they could sale through their arduous journey and made it to the destination.
Hailing from a rural academic background when I started preparation there was lack of information about what to read, how to study, which notes to refer and coaching related various doubts took a lot of time to get appropriate answers to come on right track.
Another thing was the number of selected officers was meagre in my vicinity during these times around 2010 and before. So, the scope of seeking guidance from someone around was narrow. Since then, I had this idea in my mind, however, presently situation has changed a lot predominantly due to I.T. Revolution when one can refer to online lectures, course materials, online mock tests just a single click away.
Further, when you come across any magazine, the journeys of successful candidates are invariably written in question-answer format. In my view, there are lot more things that successful candidates wish to share which the especially newcomers are interested in. Therefore, I felt there has been a persistent gap. It is my heartfelt effort in this direction to fill the evident gap. Successful candidates are provided with open arena to share their experience with no limitations as we have only sought a few basic factual details from them.
In my own past journey, I have worked as School Lecturer in Rajasthan Govt. at Sujanpura, Jaipur. Thereafter, got selected in DANICS Service through Civil Services Examination, 2011. After completing training successfully, my first posting was at Delhi as SDM, Seemapuri Sub Division then posted for outlying segment as per policy and posted at Daman and Diu & Dadra and Nagar Haveli UTS. I had worked there in various capacities as Deputy Director - Social Welfare, Home, Personnel, Vigilance, Deputy Collector, Daman, CEO, District Panchayat Daman and Director of Education and Sports at Silvassa.
During this journey, I profoundly felt that newcomers need proper guidance and motivation. Hidden talent from various part of country must be part of Civil Services. I hope this compilation will always help you to provide basic idea and I am sure some enthralling real journeys will surely motivate you throughout your own pursuit.
Wish you all the best for your future endeavors. One line I would like to share:
