The life of the great physicist and chemist Madame Curie was one wrought with struggle and perseverance. She was the first woman to win the noble prize, and that too twice. Her pioneering research in radioactivity was the precursor to x-ray and other medical treatments. Her contribution to medical science is praiseworthy. Today most of the tests conducted for the purpose of diagnosis one way or the other are linked with her discovery. Her life is very inspiring. One needs to know how she overcame many hurdles and barriers in her way just because she was a woman.
In this inspiring biography, Marie Curie’s highly proficient contribution in the field of radioactivity has been brilliantly sketched.
